Welcome to My Creative Universe – I'm Carlos Bermejo!
Since 2007, I’ve been creating art where surrealism collides with pop culture, mysticism, and the subconscious. My journey began in the South Florida underground music scene, designing artwork for metal and rock bands during the MySpace era. Over time, life’s unexpected turns drew me deeper into symbolism, spirituality, and the strange, shaping a visual language that blends the surreal, the iconic, and the esoteric.
My art prints are created in Photoshop using carefully selected public-domain, free, and premium stock imagery. Through digital collage, photographic manipulation, texture, color, and detailed compositing, I transform these elements into original worlds filled with mythological themes, psychedelic visions, sacred symbols, nostalgic references, and philosophical undertones.
Familiar images become portals into strange new worlds, where nostalgia is distorted, symbols are reborn, and dreams take visual form. Each piece is deeply personal, thought-provoking, and rich with meaning.
Beyond static artwork, I’m currently experimenting with generative AI animation to bring my compositions to life through movement. Combined with video and music, these evolving works create immersive experiences that invite viewers deeper into the Mystikos universe.
The work is meant to spark curiosity, wonder, and perhaps a little existential questioning.
